At AXA Health, we’re looking for talented Sales Consultants to join our highly successful sales team in Bournemouth. As a Sales Consultant, you’ll be contacting customers who have enquired directly with AXA Health online into Private Healthcare Insurance. You’ll listen to our customers’ needs and provide suitable cover options offering tailored solutions. As part of this role, you’ll be comfortable having sensitive conversations and taking an empathetic approach you’ll translate factual and sometimes complex information in a simple way, converting these enquiries into sales through building rapport and listening.

After your initial office based training period of 12 weeks, you'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.

Working Hours & Shift Pattern: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 9am and 6pm with an early finish of 2.30pm on Fridays, no evenings or weekend.

Induction & Training:

Induction Date: 4th August 2025

When you join us, you’ll be given extensive training on our products and tools to ensure you have the knowledge and skills to succeed. Training starts with a three-week programme and after this you’ll join one of our 5 sales teams where you’ll receive one-to-one coaching sessions, role play and live listening. Our sessions will help to motivate and inspire you as well as support you with your sales techniques.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Using warm leads to call customers who have enquired online about Private Healthcare Insurance and converting these into sales.
  • Listening to customers’ needs and providing suitable cover options offering tailored solutions.
  • Having sensitive conversations and being empathic.
  • Translating factual and complex information in a simple way.
  • Building rapport with customers.
  • Working in a supportive and collaborative environment.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience in a customer facing role is essential.
  • Ability to connect with a variety of people over the phone and via email, translating complex information in a simple way whilst following a call guide.
  • Customer focused, with the ability to show empathy and build rapport, listening and assessing situations quickly whilst conducting yourself in a professional manner.
  • Receptive to regular coaching and feedback given by your managers, taking accountability for your own self-development.
  • Resilient and ambitious with a determination to succeed.
  • Highly adaptable to change and managing multiple priorities.
  • It would be advantageous to have experience in a telephone-based role and/ or within an FCA regulated environment.

Following this, the first stage of the interview process is completion of an Arctic Shores Assessment. This is an online, behaviour-based assessment that doesn't contain any questions. Instead, it's a series of engaging, intuitive tasks. As you respond to each task, we can paint an accurate picture of your natural strengths. You'll have two days to complete the assessment. The next and final stage, if shortlisted, is that we will invite you to attend an interview which will take place from 16th until 27th June in our Bournemouth office.

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorized to work in the United Kingdom.

This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
