“I can honestly say that you’re never short of someone to speak to for advice. You have an extensive support network which is completely invaluable. For a start, the graduate resourcing team don’t just throw you into the programme and then leave you. They’re always on hand as a brilliant point of contact if you need anything throughout the two years.
You’re given a buddy from the previous year’s intake, so they’re really good at offering advice from their own experience, while your senior manager mentors are a great help in giving perspective and challenging your thinking. I also get lots of opportunities to train and interact with the graduates on other programmes. We learn from each other and really get a better understanding of how other departments work.
The resourcing team work with you to create and continually update a Career Development Plan (CPD) throughout your time at AXA. This helps to look at the bigger picture and consider your ultimate ambitions. It’s really useful because it means your placements are tailored to your individual goals and desires and you’ve always got something to work towards. I’ve learnt loads from all of my relationships so far. It’s nice to feel so supported at every stage of the scheme.”
