Apprenticeships at Axa

Why did you decide to do an apprenticeship?

I reached a point in my career where I guess I was looking for another challenge and some additional skills to enhance my performance at work. Christina Albert, Business Change Relationship Manager/ AXA PPP.

What does your apprenticeship involve?

So far we’ve done two modules, in that time it’s been a mixture of online learning, webinars and also a couple of residential - here at Ashbridge as well, I found that there's a really good mix of content and learning.

What do you enjoy most about your apprenticeship?

The things I’ve particularly liked is the way that I can apply it back to the work that I do. Working in Change actually the last two modules have given me a huge number of ideas about how we could embed digital more into our strategy, looking at operational backbones  but also looking at the ways that we can break down silos in our organisation. I’m actually working with some of our senior leaders now to present back on my findings to see how we can introduce some of these new techniques. Kaylee Peneycad, Change Manager / AXA PPP.

Would you recommend an apprenticeship to others?

I would recommend people consider this if it’s progressing through their career is what they are looking for, it certainly gives you some different lenses to look at situations that you face in the workplace.

Rewards and Benefits

As well as a supportive and rewarding working culture, you'll enjoy a good holiday allowance and generous company pension scheme. Depending on your role you’ll have the opportunity to buy share options, a car allowance and private medical insurance. Note that benefits can vary according to the different part of AXA and the role itself.

Pay and Bonus

We carefully consider our pay levels and carry out a review each year so you are paid fairly for what you do. When AXA does well, we share in its success and all employees are eligible for a discretionary bonus payment each year, dependant on individual and company performance.

We want to help you actively plan for a financially healthy retirement, so we offer a Defined Contribution Pension Scheme. This means that we contribute to your pension fund depending on the amount you choose to pay in.

We recognise and reward you when you demonstrate the behaviours that make AXA great.
