Finance at AXA
The Finance department at AXA is divided into six teams, each of whom make a valuable contribution to business efficiency.
Finance Business Partners
This team provides high quality financial support and guidance to the AXA Life, AXA Insurance, AXA PPP Healthcare and AXA Ireland business units.
Finance Operations, Reporting & Transformation (FORT)
A relatively new function, FORT drives efficiency and improved financial control, and is responsible for producing our reported results.
Group Strategy & Financial Control (GSFC)
GSFC's overarching objective is to improve profitability via strong financial control of the UK & Ireland cost base and by negotiating the best deals for the business. This team is sub-divided into four functions, namely: Financial Planning & Reporting, Group Expense Management, Property and Procurement.
Financial Risk Management
Financial risks, including both asset and liability risks, are inherent in every insurance business. The job of Financial Risk Management is to accurately assess these risks and inform the management decision-making process across our Life and Non-Life businesses.
Taxation
Failure to comply with robust tax requirements can be an expensive business for everyone involved - customers, shareholders and employees. By meticulously planning ahead and following the correct procedures, our Taxation team helps us to avoid unnecessary cost and complexity.
Investments & Treasury
This team manages around £50bn-worth of policyholder and UK Group investments, selecting fund managers to invest these holdings and review their performance. Additionally, they oversee the UK Group funding strategy and contribute to a wide range of Finance deliverables, including the strategic plan and asset-liability management reporting.
