In this part of AXA, which recently bought the Swiftcover business, Actuaries play an important role in projecting claims, pricing products and enhancing profitability. Our 34-strong AXA Insurance Actuarial team works closely with colleagues in Underwriting, Claims, IT and Finance to make sure that we bring all the latest information and intelligence together. You might get involved in the pricing and reserving of commercial lines, personal lines, private motor or capital modelling. One of our greatest challenges is to embed economic capital concepts into our day-to-day business in preparation for Solvency II. The team also works closely with Finance, Group and the FSA to manage our solvency and capital position.
