Marketing Graduate Programme

After three different eight-month placements on our Marketing Graduate Programme, you’ll have a much clearer idea of where you want to take your career. You’ll also have built up the kind of knowledge and experience which will be invaluable for the future.

We’re keen on graduates taking real responsibility from the outset and being confronted with challenges that really test them. But that doesn’t mean we’ll leave you to do your job without support.  Not only will you have a mentor to offer you advice and guidance, but you’ll also have a Career & Development Plan to guide your progress.  At the end of the programme, you’ll be ready to play an even greater role in our diverse business.

We look for graduates with a 2:1 in any subject with a strong interest in developing skills in marketing, research, communications or advertising. You must be flexible enough to move between locations.

expand this text Learning and Development

After meeting our senior leaders on AXA’s comprehensive induction programme and learning more about the business, you’ll begin the first of your placements.  On-the-job training is supplemented by coaching from your line managers and the support of your mentor. There’s also a ‘buddy’ available – someone who’s already been part of the Marketing Graduate Programme and is able to offer informal advice.

We’ll provide any essential training relevant to your placement and we will support you to expand your network of contacts around the business. We provide regular performance reviews and also monitor your pay and bonuses to make sure they reflect your progress.

You’ll spend two years on the programme from September 2010. Typically, it involves placements in three of the following areas – each lasting eight months.


Analytical Marketing
  • Market research and customer insight
  • Segmentation and customer data management
  • E-business and online marketing
Creative
  • Brand Advertising
Communications
  • External Communications – dealing with media relations and promoting Corporate Social Responsibility
  • Internal Communications – communicating with our employees

Once you’ve completed the scheme, there’s a good chance of securing a junior managerial role in one of these key areas.
