IT Graduate Programme

This innovative two-year programme allows you to develop your technical skills across the whole IT development cycle. As well as benefiting from training and development in the AXA IT Academy, you’ll have our support for external study in specific areas. And there’s a strong practical element to the programme too. You’ll be offered three separate eight-month placements in areas such as systems, business analysis, technical testing or project management.  You can then choose an area you’d like to focus on, although there’s nothing to stop you switching disciplines later on.

With your own Career & Development Plan – as well as the support of a placement manager, mentor and a ‘buddy’ who’s already been on the scheme – you can be sure that we’re focused at all times on your ongoing progression.

We’re interested in hearing from you if you’re flexible enough to move between locations and have a 2:1 or above in a subject such as IT, Computing, Business, Science or Maths. You also need good analytical skills, logic and a real talent for IT. Some of the locations where you might be based include:

Bristol
Lytham
Basingstoke
Tunbridge Wells
Ipswich
(possibly London)

If you’re looking for a steep learning curve, our IT graduate programme will certainly provide it. It all starts with your induction, when you’ll meet our senior executives, learn about the AXA business and the part that IT plays within it. (You’ll also, of course, have a chance to meet your fellow trainees.)

After that, you’ll be given a proper job with real responsibility. During your three placements in IT operations, you’ll work at the sharp end and receive on-the-job training.  We also give you the opportunity to undertake a formal programme of study.
