Typical placement programme

Over two years consisting of three eight-month placements, you could find yourself, among other places, in our Applications and Digital Transformation team, in our Infrastructure team, and within a team at one of our operating companies to experience how technology is delivered in a customer-facing environment. All this will see you build skills and knowledge in IT Transformation, new technologies and how IT solutions are utilised across a large and diverse business.

You will primarily be based in Bristol however one of your placements may be at another location in the UK (for which relocation support will be provided). 

Who should apply?

Ideally, you'll need to be on track to achieve a 2:1 degree (or above) in an IT-related degree discipline. However, if you can show us your passion for IT and Digital environments, we'd definitely be interested in hearing more about you. And while we don't expect you to know everything about IT, we do expect you to be a quick and keen learner, ready to make the most of the opportunities that you're given.

Rewards and benefits

You'll start on a basic salary of £26,000 and receive a performance-related bonus, too. Learning and development

Tailored to you, owned by you, driven by you, your Personal Development Plan will ensure you have the constant support and guidance of your line managers and mentors. If you're looking to develop professional qualifications then you will receive support towards a range of options in IT or Project Management disciplines.

We send all of our new graduates to our Global Headquarters in Paris where you will spend one day mixing with other AXA graduates from around the world and hearing from our Global Leaders. You will then spend an additional two days at a chateau outside of Paris that doubles as one of our learning centres, where you will work on core elements of graduate development together.

As well as on-the-job training, you'll receive regular one-to-one coaching from your line managers. Feedback's vital, and regular performance reviews are part-and-parcel of the programme. It's important that, at every stage, you know how you're doing and where you need to do more.
