Actuarial Student Programme

In the AXA business, it’s critical that we can assess financial risks, design and price products and calculate the amount of money we need to hold. It’s our actuaries who apply the relevant mathematical, statistical and economic models and provide us with expert investment advice. It’s a highly skilled and strategic job, which requires an impressive level of problem-solving and analytical ability. If you prove you have the ability, the opportunities within the AXA Group are potentially enormous.

Our Actuarial Student Programme will allow you to explore a variety of work in different areas of the AXA business and see different aspects of an actuary’s work. We also give you generous study leave and professional support to help you through a challenging series of examinations. Remember, it takes between three and seven years to qualify. But it’s worth the effort!

We look for an A in A-level Maths or equivalent, as well as a 2:1 in a numerical degree.

Our Actuarial Student Programme combines practical training with formal qualifications. With the full range of AXA’s development opportunities at your disposal, the only limit to what you can achieve is your own imagination.

Formal qualifications are an essential part of our actuarial programme – and we’ll give you the training materials, in-house study training and resources you need – but practical training is an important part of the mix too. You’ll drive your own progress by building your network of contacts within the business and working closely with non-actuarial colleagues to look at problems and proposals from different perspectives.
